Superstar Running Back Saquon Barkley has thus far not enjoyed a season quite as magical as his 2024 campaign as he finished the game with just 4 carries for 9 yards. Fellow RB Tank Bigsby led the way with 13 carries for 33 yards and a goal-line TD. Devonta Smith had another great game as he reeled in 10 balls for 117 yards and a touchdown. Wide Receiver Dontayvion Wicks who was an offseason addition from the Green Bay Packers caught an additional 5 balls for 74 yards and a touchdown. Number 20 overall pick in the 2026 Draft WR Makai Lemon continues to struggle to start his NFL career as he had just 1 catch for 14 yards to go along with his 3 catches for -5 yards last week against the division rival Commanders.
For the Titans, their former number 1 overall pick QB Cam Ward threw 13 completions on 20 attempts for 183 yards. Ward added 2 touchdowns on the ground, and had some flash plays through the air as well including a 3rd and 13 strike in between 3-4 defenders to Wide Receiver Elic Ayomanor to pick up the first down and more afterwards, was a throw not every QB in the NFL can make. On the ground, Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears combined for 21 carries for 105 yards (64 and 41 yards respectively). The Previously mentioned Ayomanor caught 2 passes for 69 yards. Number 4 overall pick Carnell Tate had just 3 catches for 27 yards. 7 catches for 65 yards to start his career isn’t ideal for the former Ohio State Buckeye, but he has plenty of time to adjust to life in the NFL.
The Eagles improve to 2-0 on the season as they will prepare for their road trip to Chicago to face the Bears on Monday Night Football. As for the Titans, they fall to 0-2 as Head Coach Robert Saleh is surely prouder of the team’s performance on Sunday compared to last Sunday in the loss to his former team in the New York Jets. Next week the Titans will head to East Rutherford to face off against the New York Giants at Metlife Stadium.
